José Lévy is a Parisian artist and a traveler who navigates with talent and whimsical poetry between fashion, decorative arts, design and museum installations. His fields of action are diverse. Faithful to the human spirit and being as a starting point, it remains the driving force behind all his projects. Provider of singular and intimate objects, José Lévy weaves links between his creations and their beneficiaries. Re-creating memories, one’s own or borrowed, José Lévy infuses his work with a unique sense of rigor and imagination. Recipient of the Villa Kujoyama, Grand Prix of the City of Paris and Knight of Arts and Letters, he designs for an audience keen on of both stories of the past and new horizons. José Levy collaborates with renowned publishers and galleries of art and design: Hermès, Perrotin, Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Cristalleries Saint-Louis, Diptyque, Astier de Villatte, Manufacture de Sévres…
He has been part of numerous solo shows around the world : at Musée Guimet and Musée de la Chasse in Paris. He has also collaborated with the Petit Palais, Palais de Tokyo, and Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto.
