Laserstone is a project funded by the Tuscany Region on the European Union program dedicated to Innovative Actions, carried out in collaboration with the CNR and the universities of Pisa and Florence.
In support of this research we have developed the laser cutting parameters for different types of marble and stone. The tests carried out have shown benefits in cutting precision, especially of reduced thicknesses up to 3 mm, and advantages in terms of quality, economy and environmental impact. In fact, the application of laser cutting limits the exploitation of all the natural resources involved, drastically reducing water consumption and the production of wastewater derived from common processes.
